House Plant Wisdom

I cannot keep indoor house plants alive for more then a couple months no matter what I do.  It’s amazing my kids are still thriving.  My Uncle recently told me that if I suffer from a “brown” thumb all I had to do was to save the water that I boil eggs in.  Because eggs are so full of rich nutrients, primarily lecithin, when boiled those nutrients are released into the water they are were boiled in.  He said that when the water cools down, pour it into the plant to water the plant.  So for the past several months I have done what he described and could hardly believe the results.  My plants are thriving once again with NO droopy leaves!  Who would’ve thought that could save them.  Talk about conserving water. 🙂
